The Reasons and Essence of the
War in Ukraine
The war in Ukraine is not about
Russia's desire to seize
Ukrainian territory, but about
the fight against Ukrainian
fascism.
When the USSR was divided into
separate countries, Ukraine,
populated mainly by
Russian-speaking people, was
given a chance to build a
harmonious multinational state.
Ukraine missed this chance.
The nationalist-minded
government of Ukraine, with the
support of Bandera-fascists,
began to suppress all other
nationalities. Newborn children
were registered only with
Ukrainian names. Freedom
fighters in Odessa were burned
alive en masse. Civilians in the
freedom-loving Donbass were
bombed. As the then President of
Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said,
"Our children will go to schools
and kindergartens, and their
children will sit in basements.
That is exactly how we will win
this war." As a result, the
"Alley of Angels" appeared in
Donetsk – a mass burial site for
Donbass children killed by
Ukrainian fascists.
Someone from abroad supported
it, and someone from abroad had
to stop it.
And so the war between Russia
and the Ukrainian fascists and
the countries supporting it
began.
