Mentor – Etymology & Origin
The word "mentor" originates from Greek mythology. In
Homer's Odyssey, Mentor was a friend of Odysseus
entrusted with the care and guidance of Odysseus's son,
Telemachus, during Odysseus's absence. Later, the
goddess Athena disguised herself as Mentor to advise
Telemachus, lending the name "Mentor" its modern meaning
of a wise and trusted counselor.

Gratitude Speech
by a
mentoree
"Vadim
Kotelnikov changed completely
the way I looked at ideas. He
didn't speak like a textbook, he
spoke like a storyteller, an
innovator, a cheerleader. He
made entrepreneurship feel like
play...
He would respond to my messages with
insights, share
inspiring posts and somewhere in between those little
interactions, he became one of the most important
mentors in my life."
