People Skills

A mentor is an experienced individual who provides guidance, support, and advice to a less experienced person.

Mentors act as teachers, advisors, and friends, offering insights and assistance. They help mentees develop skills, navigate challenges, and achieve goals. The role involves sharing expertise and facilitating personal and professional growth.

Mentor – Etymology & Origin

The word "mentor" originates from Greek mythology. In Homer's Odyssey, Mentor was a friend of Odysseus entrusted with the care and guidance of Odysseus's son, Telemachus, during Odysseus's absence. Later, the goddess Athena disguised herself as Mentor to advise Telemachus, lending the name "Mentor" its modern meaning of a wise and trusted counselor.

Gratitude Speech by a mentoree

"Vadim Kotelnikov changed completely the way I looked at ideas. He didn't speak like a textbook, he spoke like a storyteller, an innovator, a cheerleader. He made entrepreneurship feel like play... He would respond to my messages with insights, share inspiring posts and somewhere in between those little interactions, he became one of the most important mentors in my life." ~ Anshita Shukla

Bhagavad Gita as My Mentor

When I hesitate, Krishna tells me that I must jump in and win.

When I try to figure out how to win, Krishna advises me to love.

When I want to choose an easy-to-reach goal, Krishna tells me that I must listen to my Higher Self and pursue my Higher Purpose.
