Strategic Actions: All-Inclusive and All-Win

Strategic thinking and actions are not just for C-suite executives, it is everyone’s job. In any organization, everyone has a role to play in preparing for the future.

Strategic Action areas

The focus and nature of strategic actions depends on the position a person fills in the organization and the manner in which s/he contributes to its strategic vision.

Successful outcomes of strategic actions can and should be structured as all-win scenarios to win support from all stakeholders involved.

Strategy Implementation

A strategic action plan explains how to make a strategy a reality by adding the details needed to turn it into a chain of strategic actions and helping to align and organize thoughts on any given point to achieve desired strategic results.

For instance, the two parts of a differentiation strategy are a strategic position and strategic actions. The strategic actions part explains how to create a market niche, communicate differentiated advantage and create a buzz.

Strategic Achievement
The two interwoven parts of strategic achievement in a rapidly changing environment are strategic thinking and strategic action. The strategic intent provides strategic alignment and inspiration for both of these activities.
Strategic Experimentation
Rapid experimentation with new strategic opportunities is to be in accordance with corporate guiding principles and followed by learning SWOT questions.

You Will Not Succeed Unless You Act

“I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.” ~ Gilbert K. Chesterton

Most of the problems in life and business stem from one cause: we can't get ourselves to take action. It's not that we don't know what to do. The problem is getting ourselves to follow through and do it.

The Skill of Getting Yourself To Take Action

Create your fate! Many people are unwilling and/or afraid to go after what they want because it would force them to stretch their comfort zones. They convince themselves the action can be postponed or that a time will come when they won't be afraid to go after their goals. But that special event when everything falls into place will never happen. You will always feel out of your comfort zone when it comes to breaking the status quo.

Successful people aren't free of fear and worry, they they are enthusiastic and brave enough to take the first step and keep moving forward in spite of the perceived danger. They know how to motivate themselves and get themselves to take action. If you wish to turn your dream to reality, you must learn how to develop and master the skill of getting motivated to do the things that must be done. Keep telling yourself, "'Today' is the opportunity to build the bridge between yesterday's lesson and tomorrow's achievement. I'm sure to pursue this opportunity!"

James Allen quotes

For true success ask yourself these four questions:
Why?  ② Why not?
Why not me?  ④ Why not now?

James Allen

There is nothing impossible to him who will try.

Carl von Clausewitz quotes

It is even better to act quickly and err than to hesitate until the time of action is past.

Why Change Fails: 8 Common Errors

The world has a way of undermining complex plans. This is particularly true in fast moving environments. A fast moving environment can evolve more quickly than a complex plan can be adapted to it. By the time you have adapted, the target has changed.
